From that very second, I knew what love was and is....it is you, my precious grandaughter. I hope that you will know for your entire life, that you are loved and we miss you and have you in our hearts EVERY day. You are one day old in this pic.........and look how beautiful you are!

Yesterday

Yesterday I got a little note from my grandaughter. I had to touch her words with my fingers because it is the closest thing that I have to touching her. It has been five years since I have seen my grandaughter. Five long years. She has been adopted and I miss her so badly. I wish the adoptive mother could understand that fact. I wish she could see my heart and to know how much I love my grandaughter and I always will. Love never dies. It never fades away. It lasts forever.

Dear Grandaughter....

Tonite I am looking at the new pictures of you. I had them blown up to 5x7s so I could see your pretty face much better. You are so lovely that I feel tears in my eyes because I miss you so much. But I plan to write you a letter tomorrow. I plan to write and tell you that I love you more than all of the love in the whole wide world. I plan to tell you that you bring happiness to my heart and that I can't wait to see you again.

Having a baby!

I'll never forget the day my daughter went to the hospital to give birth to her second child, Jacob. It was very much a family affair. Little Jackie was very much involved and would often comfort her mother as the pain of labor came on. Here she rubs her mommy's feet, and after it's all over, mommy gives her something to drink. Having a baby is hard work!
